Mercedes-Benz W140 900SEL Project Zonda - Draginev Design ©
I've took the challenge to design the legendary Mercedes-Benz S-class W140.
I had problem designing this one and probably made a makeover like 5 times with front bumper and side skirt. Because only issued I had with this car is the roof that sits so high. I understand that the designers in the MB headquarters had a fight over this, one of them was tall. There wasn’t wrong by having a high roof, it suits for tall people who includes me and some NBA players.
So I had to figure out somehow how to trick that roof not to sits so high by making an illusion of a clean line somewhere. So I cooked this idea by making this list all around the car to balance that out.
This way the long version is the best to battle that high roof illusion.
This headlight design is completely new concept that none has done before. It is called Angel wings.
You also see that the fog lights are from the original AMG OEM. So this way I wanted to stay retro but new look of the intake made in carbon fiber.
